The Manager will lead a team of technicians, ensure that all automation and control systems function optimally, and work on modernizing systems, including packing and robotic equipment, dust control automation, crushing, milling, and screening. This role also involves travel to all company sites, both inside and outside Saudi Arabia, to coordinate maintenance and improvement efforts across locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Leadership and Team Management
•Lead, train, and develop a team of technicians responsible for automation, control, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
•Provide direction and oversee maintenance work to ensure efficient and reliable operation across all systems and locations.
2.Automation and Control Systems Oversight
•Manage the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of all PLC, SCADA, and robotic systems, particularly for packing, dust control, and critical production systems.
•Regularly inspect systems related to crushing, milling, and screening equipment to ensure functionality and alignment with production requirements.
3.Gap Analysis and Improvement Planning
•Conduct thorough gap analyses to identify system inefficiencies, outdated equipment, and opportunities for operational improvements.
•Develop and implement improvement plans to modernize systems, reduce downtime, and increase overall efficiency.
4.Documentation and System Design
•Oversee the creation and updating of AutoCAD designs and technical documentation for all automation, control, and electrical systems.
•Ensure all system modifications, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and technical schematics are documented accurately and updated regularly.
5.Project Management
•Plan, execute, and monitor projects related to system upgrades, including modernization of aged equipment and integration of new automation technologies.
•Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success within scope, time, and budget, coordinating with external vendors when necessary.
6.ERP System Integration and Support
•Oversee the integration of automation systems with the ERP system (preferably Dynamics 365 or SAP) to improve data accuracy, production tracking, and reporting.
•Ensure accurate data capture across automation systems to support ERP functionality and streamline operational workflows.
7.Instrumentation and Electrical Management
•Supervise the maintenance, calibration, and repair of all instrumentation and electrical equipment, particularly in packing, dust control, and crushing/milling/screening areas.
•Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and control panels, to minimize downtime.
8.Safety and Compliance
•Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and compliance guidelines, particularly for electrical and dust control systems.
•Lead safety audits and implement risk mitigation strategies across all company locations to protect employees and equipment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1.System Uptime
•Target: Achieve and maintain 98% uptime across all automation and control systems, including packing, robotic, dust control, crushing, milling, and screening equipment.
2.Preventive Maintenance Completion Rate
•Target: Complete 100% of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on time for all equipment and systems.
3.Documentation and Improvement Plan Accuracy
