Role/ Purpose.
Responsible for procuring technical goods and services that are used in the industrial operation of an
organization. These engineers must evaluate all new and existing suppliers and negotiate purchase
agreements to ensure that the purchased goods and services are delivered as promised.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Reviews supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company
manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards
Communicates product and process issue analysis to procurement engineering leader and product
team
Consult with engineering /R&D personnel to establish performance criteria and specifications for
suppliers
Source and investigate potential suppliers and recommend suitable ones for NPI projects or existing
products
Perform RFQ and total cost analysis
Work with our key suppliers to help improve their performance, competitiveness and capabilities
Drive a step change in supplier capability through the utilization of continuous improvement
techniques, structured interventions, risk mitigation and other action plans
Identify opportunities for innovation sharing, co-design/development utilizing the relevant
capabilities of both parties for mutual benefit

Responsible for the coordination of project materials flows, storage, and distribution in accordance
with company policies and procedures
Performed task to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focused on inventory
reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results.
Collecting and interpreting analytical and performance data to determine supply chain KPIs.
Recommending and implementing supply chain improvements, as well as documenting processes.
Customizing and deploying efficient supply chain management software.
Training and overseeing junior employees.
Building and maintaining strong vendor and distributor relationships.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Keeping abreast of developments in supply chain engineering.
Work with finance, human resources, and production teams to identify, grade, cross-train and
reduce labor requirements for high-cost operations
