•Responsible for procurement of Spare Parts for Equipment, machines, building, utilities, and all company facilities.
•Manage & coordinate Spare parts supply and inventory
•Sourcing of Spares & coordinating with Maintenance Dept.
•Monitoring of minimum stock level & Total Inventory Mgmt.
•Read catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
•Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ descriptions of malfunctions.
•Receive and fill system requests & orders for parts.
•Coordinate inventory of stock.
•Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.
•Coordinate to store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.
•Discuss the use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
•Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments, in order to determine whether similar parts may be machined to required sizes.
•Coordinate Repair parts with the Maintenance department whenever required.
•Decide on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
•Implement & follow up the local & foreign requisitions for spare parts & machinery supplies within the approved budgets that ensure on-time delivery with the minimum costs for all items within purchasing cycle.
• Check all tenders and purchase orders documents’ specifications for spare parts, materials, equipment, technical services, and consultancy agreements.
• Check all correspondences with suppliers.
• Assist in the commercial study and tenders evaluations for suppliers’ offers to select the appropriate bidder.
•Negotiate with suppliers, if needed, to get the most appropriate prices & conditions.
• Monitor the contract preparation and order placement at the right time according to purchasing cycle.
•Handle and settle any claims for any unaccepted items.
•Synchronize and coordinate works & activities with all other Sections / Departments.
•Survey efficiently the spare parts markets for competitive substitutes.
•Log in smoothly and efficiently into the electronic purchasing system of the companyREQUIREMENTS:
A Jeddah based company is hiring the position of “Technical WH Specialist”.
•Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,
•Graduate Engineer/Technical Certificate with a minimum of 5 years experience in Planning, Procurement, and inventory management of spare parts with a leading Food manufacturer or FMCG company. Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications in Materials
•Graduate Engineer/Technical Certificate with a minimum of 5 years experience in Planning, Procurement, and inventory management of spare parts with a leading Food manufacturer or FMCG company. Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications in Materials
Management.
•Good exposure of Spares Management for the services industry.
•Min 5 years relevant experience in Planning, Procurement, and inventory management of spare parts with a leading FMCG Industry. Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications in Materials Management.
•Experienced in setting up a Functional Procurement Team/Department, establishing workflows, operating procedures.
•Excellent English and Arabic (Optional) language skills; oral and written.
•Good IT skills and familiarity with SAP will be an advantage
