Job Summary
Metso Outotec in Saudi Arabia is looking for Pump and Hydrocyclone Sales Engineer who will be responsible for executing the individual Sales Plan for all Pump Equipment, Pump Spares, Hydrocyclones Trellex Slurry Handling Products and Services for Mining, Aggregates and Industrial segments within assigned territory (Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt & Sudan) by creating opportunities and generating sales from existing and new customers.within the assigned territory. This sales role requires a high level of experience selling directly to end-users . The Regional Pump and Hydrocyclone Sales Engineer is required to have proven sales and/or technical experience in the slurry pump industry, ideally within the mining, construction, and oil & gas market segments. Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers at every organizational level, and reaching a high level of internal collaboration, are fundamental requirements of this role.
Location of Position will be in Saudi Arabia.
Pump and Hydrocyclone Sales Engineer responsibilities will be as following :
- Execute individual sales plan for Slurry Pumps, Parts & Service within assigned territory by creating opportunities and generating sales from existing and new accounts, working directly with Metso Outotec account managers. Continuous face-to-face contact with customers is required.
- Responsible for submitting weekly activity plans in Sales Force, meeting monthly customer visit target, developing opportunities and continuously following up and reporting on all open proposals
- Through close collaboration with the assigned products’ support resources, analyze Metso’s market potential within the assigned territory and develop specific business development strategies and action plans that will lead to market share growth and realization of territory sales plan
- Creating a knowledge of installed base for each specific customer and analyze their consumption for Spares and Wear Parts related to equipment installed base; and effectively document and communicate this information to management, product support and customer service personnel.
- Monitoring the competitor activities and report this information to business and market area for taking necessary actions for further opportunities.
- Making proper pump selections for new projects, new and existing customers by using Pumpdim software effectively.
- Price adjustment for each sales and monitoring sales margins to meet yearly targets for Pump Spares and Trellex Slurry Handling Products. Follow the approval grid principles for pump equipment to meet yearly targets and take necessary actions.
- Following customer needs by visiting them regularly and monitor their technical needs and problems and take necessary actions to solve them.
- Creating monthly report which includes order highlights, lost orders, open opportunities and general market review and share this report with the management.
- Establish and maintain a good company image within territory by providing exceptional customer service, a professional business attitude, up-to-date product knowledge and thorough understanding of customer operations, needs and challenges
- Following the mining activities closely to be aware of new projects, be in cooperation with Mining Equipment Sales team for greenfield projects.
- Acts as customer liaison to Metso by maintaining open flow of communication between customers and Metso’s sales support and customer service resources; and by developing strong professional relationships with personnel of all levels within customer organizations
Qualifications And Experience
- 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or product support (preferably in mineral processing or related industry)
- University Degree with Mechanical or Mining Qualifications
- Mineral concentrator plant experience is a definite asset for this role
- Written and oral proficiency in English is a requirement for this position and Arabic will be a definite asset for this role.
