Dorsch Holding GmbH Looking to hire Senior Resident Engineer (STP & Infrastructure) for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia location:

Job Essentials –

  • 15-20+ years of expereince in large mixed use Infrastructure development projects in KSA.
  • Candidates with specific expereince in STP – Sewerage treatment plant – Construction & Supervision projects in KSA, will be preferred.
  • Construction and Project Management expertise in infrastructure work related to Wet and dry utilitity networks, including major plant facilities like STP, Substations, Electrical networks, District Cooling plants and associated distribution Network, Vacuum Waste Management System, Bridges and retaining structures, Pumping Stations, ICT systems etc.

Job Responsibilities ( Project Management)

  • Ensure a ‘Safety First’ culture is implemented from Day one across all members of the Team, such that they also ensure compliance by the Construction Contractors.
  • Be accountable for all necessary planning, directing, and co-ordinating the construction supervision resources of the Project including formulating achieving Client satisfaction, Stakeholder compliance, policies, goals, strategies, managing the team, controlling costs, and planning all resources. Establish clear policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met and administered in accordance with agreed contract terms and conditions.
  • Review financial statements and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas that require cost reduction.
  • Review projects’ budgets and cost forecast and undertake financial and contractual risk analysis.
  • Ensure excellent dealings with the Client, contractors and public authorities.

Job Responsibilities (Construction Supervision)

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for main Contractor/ sub-contractor site staff for all project issues.
  • Monitoring Contractor’s program of works to ensure on time delivery.
  • Reviewing claims from Contractor and preparing responses. Negotiating with contractors regarding the value of claims or any changes in schedule.
  • Assisting the Client in review, negotiation and settlement of claims arising out of disputes with a Contractor.
  • Maintaining and ensuring site safety; .
  • Review and monitor in a timely manner, the Contractor’s proposed construction equipment and manpower histogram and advise of any shortage.
  • Ensure Contractor Compliance with its Contractual obligations concerning Design changes and trend notices.
  • Make sure that all MS, QCP, ITP, RA, and Records as submitted by Contractor (after PMC assessment) are reviewed by all disciplines and verified against Project Requirements.
  • Deep involvement in Contractor transmittals addressing Construction Methodology. Statements, Project Quality Plan, Safety Plan, Schedules and compliances with Project objectives.
  • Maintain full awareness of contracts financial status.
  • Give final approval to works and arrange handover.

Educational Qualifications 

  • B.Sc/ B.E/ Bachelors/ Masters in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates from Western Universities are also encouraged to apply.
  • 15-20+ years overall experience in a comparable scope and size to the company, including a minimum of 5 -10+ years in GCC.
  • 10+ years at Senior project management role on similar projects will be preferred.
  • Fully familiar with project planning practices, methodologies and procedures and to be able to apply these to complex projects.
  • PMP / PMP/ Chartered / PE or equivalent is a strong advantage
